I honestly can’t get over that batch of Emeril’s Creole seasoning and I’ve been adding it to everything. Topped with a super crunchy bread crumb topping tossed with fresh herbs, you’ll have a light, cheesy mac and cheese with a spicy, Creole kick. Cook and whisk for about one minute after it becomes bubbly. Whisk the butter, flour, and onion powder together as the mixture begins to get bubbly and frothy. Place the pot over medium heat and allow the butter to melt. mind. And it comes together in 30 minutes. Add 3 Tbsp butter, 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour, and ½ tsp onion powder to the pot. Remove from heat stir in cheese until melted. Reduce heat simmer uncovered 8 minutes, stirring frequently do not drain. Reduce heat to medium-high cook 6 minutes, stirring frequently. But this isn’t your ordinary mac and cheese. In 5-quart nonstick Dutch oven, heat evaporated milk, 4 cups hot water, macaroni and salt to taste to boiling over high heat.
